TxDOT lists nighttime alternating lane closures on southbound US 281 south of FM 1863 through Oct. 30.

The new DriveTexas listing covers the stretch from 0.932 miles south of FM 1863 to 427.68 feet south of that road. TxDOT entered it Oct. 29 and marks delays as expected.

Drivers using that stretch of southbound US 281 may encounter delays during the listed night work. The listing says there is no detour. It gives Oct. 30 as the end date, but supplies no clock time for when the work is expected to finish.

This is a different DriveTexas entry from the Oct. 28–29 work that listed a southbound main-lane closure and a ramp detour across FM 1863. The current listing begins farther south, carries a different TxDOT record ID and describes alternating lane closures instead. Those differences do not establish that the earlier detour was extended.

Before traveling, drivers can check the current US 281 conditions on DriveTexas. The Oct. 30 listing is identified there as 49096756-3DB9-4A2A-AEDB-0B83C0E76286; a later TxDOT update would establish any changed end time or traffic arrangement.
