New Braunfels has scheduled a District 6 public forum for Sept. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Fischer Park Nature Center, with a comprehensive-plan update, project information and time for questions.
Residents can ask Councilmember Nikki Shaw and city staff about plans and projects affecting District 6 and the wider city.
The 90-minute session is the next announced public checkpoint for the city’s ongoing comprehensive-plan update. The city says the program will also include remarks from Shaw and information about current and upcoming projects in District 6 and elsewhere in New Braunfels.
Fischer Park Nature Center is at 1946 Monarch Way. The city invited both District 6 residents and neighbors from elsewhere in New Braunfels, and said attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and engage with Shaw and city staff.
The notice names the comprehensive plan and city projects as subjects but does not identify the individual projects that will be presented. That leaves residents without a project list as they prepare questions for the forum.
The next checkpoint is the Sept. 22 forum. Residents can use the city’s forum notice to verify the announced time, place and subjects; a later project list, presentation or recap could provide details beyond the current notice.
