New Braunfels says a free shuttle will run between City Hall and Downtown Spooktacular from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. The city’s event calendar gives families a way to reach the downtown celebration without searching for a parking space near Main Plaza.

Families can park free at City Hall, 550 Landa Street, and ride to the event at Main Plaza, 500 Main Plaza. Downtown Spooktacular itself is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., so the shuttle begins 30 minutes before the event and continues 30 minutes after it ends.

The city calendar lists free City Hall parking and shuttle service for the Oct. 29 event.

The city lists admission as free. It says downtown businesses, city departments and community partners will hand out treats at stops throughout downtown. For children who need a non-candy option, the city says to look for teal pumpkin buckets offering what it describes as allergen-safe treats.

Before leaving, families can check the city’s Downtown Spooktacular calendar entry for the posted hours, addresses and parking guidance. The entry mentions an event closure area but does not provide a specific street-closure map in the preserved text; drivers should not assume a particular street will be open or closed.
