Comal County’s election portal now lists Nov. 3 general-election documents involving the City of Schertz, the Comal Appraisal District and two Edwards Aquifer Authority election districts.
The posting gives residents an early view of which local-government elections are entering the county’s election-information system. It does not, however, show a complete ballot for every Comal County voter. Eligibility and ballot contents can vary by city, school district, appraisal district and other political boundaries.
What the county has posted
Under a section labeled “November 3, 2026 General Election,” the county lists a notice concerning the deadline to apply for a place on the ballot for cities, school districts and other political subdivisions. The preserved page identifies the notice but does not state the deadline in the page text.
The same section lists Schertz Resolution 26-R-075 ordering a Nov. 3 election and an order of general election for the Comal Appraisal District. It also lists Edwards Aquifer Authority Resolution and Order No. 07-26-151 for election districts 8 and 9.
The county page separately links to state voter tools, including VoteTexas.gov and the Texas ballot-by-mail tracker. It also provides links for registering to vote, checking a precinct, reviewing acceptable identification and obtaining ballot-by-mail applications.
Comal County identifies itself as a vote-center county. Its Elections and Voter Registration office is at 396 N. Seguin Ave. in New Braunfels, and the portal lists 830-221-1352 as the office phone number.
Why district boundaries matter
The presence of an election order on the county page does not mean every county resident will vote in that contest. The Schertz item concerns that city, while the aquifer-authority order names districts 8 and 9. The appraisal-district order likewise should not be read as a countywide candidate list or sample ballot.
For now, the county portal is a document receipt showing that these election orders and the ballot-application notice are available. The later posting of candidate information, sample ballots and voting locations will provide the resident-level details needed to determine exactly what appears on each ballot.
