Schertz residents now have up to $1.5 million in public incentive spending to track over six years for Hollingsworth Logistics Group’s relocation and expansion of its local operations.
The council approved Resolution 26-R-105 authorizing an economic-development performance agreement with Hollingsworth Logistics Group LLC. The official meeting recording establishes that action after council returned from its Sept. 15 closed session.
The council approved Resolution 26-R-103 authorizing the amended economic-development incentive for Lost Pines Schertz Operations LLC. Before the meeting, the official agenda identified the two closed-session prospects as Las P Schertz Operations and Project Holly.
Draft Aug. 27 minutes in the Schertz Economic Development Corporation packet show the board recommended the Hollingsworth agreement to City Council in a 5-0 vote. The board also unanimously recommended a second amendment to its performance agreement with Las P Schertz Operations LLC.
The executed agreements are the next records needed to verify payment schedules, performance benchmarks and recapture provisions.
