A Zipp Road sidewalk and construction tied to Long Creek High School traffic planning are scheduled for a New Braunfels ISD trustee vote Monday.

The Aug. 10 agenda places the work among the board’s action items. Its title describes construction for a Long Creek High School traffic impact analysis and the Zipp Road sidewalk, but the public agenda page does not spell out the length, limits or design of the sidewalk.

Six attachments are listed with the item. Their displayed filenames include an overall project ranking, an NBISD contractor scoring sheet and post-bid addenda associated with D & D, Elecnor and E-Z Bel. The page does not identify a recommended contractor or proposed contract price.

Other Construction and Bond Business

Trustees are also scheduled to discuss the status of and contracts for New Braunfels High School Phase I and Phase II with legal counsel in executive session. The agenda allows the board to take possible action on those matters after returning to open session.

A separate discussion item concerns a resolution to reimburse the district’s general fund for 2018 bond-program costs using unspent 2021 bond-program money. The agenda page identifies the proposed transfer but does not state an amount.

Another action item covers an HVAC replacement at the former disciplinary alternative education facility, which the agenda says will now serve the Planning and Construction Department. Trustees will also consider an attendance-credit purchase agreement and a wastewater easement for New Braunfels Utilities.

Monday’s Meeting

The regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 in the NBISD Administration Center boardroom. The Zipp Road and Long Creek item is listed for possible approval, so the posting establishes the proposed action—not its outcome.

Until trustees act, the item remains a scheduled decision rather than authorization to begin construction. The board’s recorded vote and any approved construction documents would establish whether the work was authorized, which contractor was selected and what the district will pay.
