Families and taxpayers can see which student, campus and financial matters were placed before trustees, but they cannot use the text displayed on the archived outcome page to verify how trustees disposed of each item.
Before the meeting, the agenda framed the bond reimbursement and Long Creek/Zipp construction as proposals, and two prior Comal.News reports identified the missing amounts and outcomes that a post-meeting record needed to settle.
What was placed before trustees
Items 4.A and 4.B allowed possible action after closed-session discussions. The first concerned real property and possible delegation to the superintendent. The second concerned the status of and contracts for Phase I and Phase II of the New Braunfels High School projects.
The consent agenda covered adjunct staff agreements, 2026-27 T-TESS appraisers, a professional-development plan and the 2026-27 Student Code of Conduct. It also covered the fourth-quarter investment report, a wastewater easement for New Braunfels Utilities and minutes from the June 15 and July 20 board meetings.
Trustees received the 2025-26 School Health Advisory Council report. The archive includes a separate SHAC presentation page, although its displayed text supplies only the presentation title.
Discussion items covered renewal in the Walsh Gallegos retainer program, an engagement letter from Thompson & Horton LLP, TASB Policy Update 127 and a proposed resolution involving unspent 2021 bond funds and 2018 bond-program costs. The policy materials have separate presentation and local-comparison pages in the package.
The seven listed action items concerned the August Community Book Challenge recommendation; Long Creek High School traffic work and a Zipp Road sidewalk; an HVAC replacement at the former DAEP facility; an attendance-credit purchase agreement; a TASB board candidate endorsement; and assignments to board and district committees.
What the outcome archive establishes
The district’s public notice identifies an Aug. 10 regular meeting, while the supplement page lists a file for draft minutes and executed records. Across the six archived objects in the complete package, the displayed text does not provide the individual motions, vote counts, approved prices or executed terms.
That distinction leaves consequential questions open. The visible archive does not settle whether construction was authorized, how much the district committed, which contracts or agreements took effect, or how trustees voted on student and district policies. Detailed minutes, motions and executed documents are needed to answer those questions.
