How to request or verify a Comal County 911 address

For a property within a subdivision, the form asks for its subdivision, unit, lot and block. Outside a subdivision, it asks for survey information and acreage. It also asks for the appraisal district property ID or account number and the road from which the property is primarily accessible. Attach a site plan or draw one in the space provided, showing proposed or existing structures and access points.

Send the form and watch for the letter

The property owner must print and sign their name on the form and date it. Email the completed form to the county Address Coordinator at address@comalcounty.gov. The form says the owner will receive an address letter and map at the email address supplied and should allow 7–10 days for processing. Keep that email address current so the county can deliver the result.

Once an address is assigned, display its numbers where arriving emergency crews can see them. The county explains that its addressing work is intended to help emergency agencies locate structures quickly. If the GIS information and the address letter differ, ask the Engineer’s Office which address to use before changing signs or sharing the address with others.
