Comal ISD says voters did not approve either of its two bond propositions in the Nov. 3 election. Superintendent John Chapman reported the result in a Nov. 4 district statement, without giving vote totals.
Families and taxpayers now await a new decision on the proposed facilities, buses and classroom technology. The district’s bond FAQ described Proposition A as a proposal for facilities, land and buses, and Proposition B as a proposal for classroom technology. Those amounts describe the rejected proposals, not spending approved by this election.

While voters did not approve either of the two bond propositions, we respect and appreciate the time our families and community members took to learn about the proposals, ask questions and make their voices heard.Comal Independent School District ↗
Chapman said district leadership and trustees will evaluate next steps and review priorities in the coming weeks. His statement did not announce a replacement bond plan or a revised schedule for the proposed work. The district’s FAQ separately says projects funded by its 2021 and 2023 bonds are under construction; the Nov. 3 result should not be read as a cancellation of those earlier projects.
The next useful record will be a district announcement or board proposal spelling out which needs it intends to address and how. Readers can inspect the district’s statement for its next-step commitment and the county elections page for its Nov. 3 results link. The retained county page links results but does not itself state vote totals, so this report does not give a margin or certified count.
