The United States changed which Canadian products face an additional 50% import duty for goods entered for consumption on or after 12:01 a.m. Eastern time Oct. 30, 2026.

The proclamation removes some products from the additional duty and adds others, according to its Federal Register text.

From the source record

Federal Register proclamationProclamation 11076
These changes shall be effective with respect to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. eastern time on October 30, 2026.
Federal Register ↗
The proclamation sets the effective time for changes to the additional duty on specified Canadian products.

A Comal County business importing a listed Canadian product must use the revised lists to determine whether the additional duty applies to that entry. The effective time also covers goods withdrawn from a warehouse for consumption. The duty applies in addition to duties imposed under a separate federal trade provision.

The specific products matter: Annex I, Part A identifies those removed from the additional duty, while Part B identifies those added. The preserved text displays the annex pages as omitted graphics, so it does not support naming an individual product here. The proclamation establishes a change in import treatment; it does not establish that a Comal County dealer or customer will pay a particular new price.

Importers can inspect the proclamation's annexes through its official Federal Register record and check the product classification against the revised tariff schedule. U.S. Customs and Border Protection may issue implementation guidance or further tariff-schedule corrections. Those records are the next place to verify how a particular entry is treated.
