Selma’s proposed fiscal 2027 Municipal Development District budget was scheduled for a public hearing and possible adoption vote on Sept. 10.
According to an on-the-record response from City of Selma City Secretary, City Administrator and City Secretary Johnny Casias told Comal.News that the proposed fiscal 2027 MDD budget includes approximately $4.2 million in total revenues and expenditures. The response did not provide separate totals or the proposed ending fund balance.
According to an on-the-record response from City of Selma City Secretary, Casias said the MDD fund had an audited balance of approximately $3.2 million for the period ending Oct. 31, 2025. He identified southern Lookout Road improvements and engineering for the proposed Cibolo Creek trail, bicycle and pedestrian project as fiscal 2027 uses.
The city’s Sept. 10 meeting notice scheduled a public hearing and possible action on a resolution adopting the MDD budget for the fiscal year running from Nov. 1, 2026, through Oct. 31, 2027.
