Schertz has scheduled two Comal County zoning requests for Sept. 2 Planning and Zoning Commission hearings and Sept. 15 City Council hearings.
Property owners and neighbors near FM 482 and Schwab Road, and near FM 2252 and Interstate 35, have two public-hearing stages to follow before the city acts. Both stages are scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4.
Case PLZC20260186 covers about 10.7 acres roughly 900 feet northwest of FM 482 and Schwab Road. The request would zone Comal County property identification number 56613 as Public Use District. At the council stage, the city labels the request Ordinance 26-S-023.
Case PLZC20260143 covers about 5 acres roughly 1,555 feet east of FM 2252 and the Interstate 35 north access road. It seeks a change from General Business District to General Business District II for part of Comal County property identification number 73267. The council notice labels that request Ordinance 26-S-030.
The Planning and Zoning Commission can hear public input and make recommendations on Sept. 2. City Council can conduct its hearings and consider the ordinances on Sept. 15. The notices invite anyone with an interest to attend, giving nearby residents a documented window to follow the land-use requests before council action.
