Drivers should plan for downtown closures, while attendees can gather at Main Plaza for the 9 a.m. ceremony before the parade begins at approximately 10 a.m. The ceremony is scheduled for the plaza bandstand, with remarks from local dignitaries and guest speakers, according to the city.

The parade is scheduled to start on South Seguin Avenue at Coll Street. Participants will stage near the Elks Lodge, then travel along South Seguin Avenue, around Main Plaza and onto East San Antonio Street. The city says local veterans’ organizations and nonprofit floats will take part, led by grand marshal Gene Forester, a retired chief warrant officer in the Texas National Guard.
For a route map and any further event details before traveling downtown, residents can use the map reference in the city’s Veterans Day announcement. The announced reopening point is the parade’s conclusion, so drivers should check for updated closure details rather than count on a fixed time.
