New Braunfels scheduled a pickleball ladder league for Mondays from Oct. 5 through Nov. 9, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., at $80 per person.
New Braunfels players at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels can enter skill-matched play with rankings adjusted weekly. The city describes the program as competitive but social, with participants moving on the ladder according to match results.
The notice lists separate women’s and men’s divisions. It promotes the program to players across the three named skill levels rather than limiting entry to experienced competitors.
The ladder format makes weekly results part of the next matchup: placement can rise or fall as the session proceeds. For players, that means a match does more than fill one Monday morning. Its result also affects where a participant sits as the ladder is adjusted during the session. The posted schedule covers six consecutive Monday mornings.
The city’s program notice includes the online registration route and the details residents need before enrolling. The next useful update will be any city posting about capacity, a registration cutoff or another session after Nov. 9.
