New Braunfels Utilities has scheduled three rain-barrel workshop sessions for Saturday, Nov. 7, at its service center on FM 306. The sessions run 9–10 a.m., 10:30–11:30 a.m. and 1:30–2:30 p.m., with 25 places in each.
Participants must bring an acceptable barrel, and barrels built at the workshop will not qualify for NBU’s rain-barrel rebate. NBU says it will supply the fittings and instruction. Its event notice asks participants to review container examples before buying or bringing a trash can or barrel.

The workshop is in the NBU Service Center Training Room at 355 FM 306 in New Braunfels. NBU says the rebate exclusion applies because it supplies the fittings. The notice says someone who later builds another barrel and buys the fittings can submit those receipts under the rebate program.
To choose a session and check availability, use the sign-up route on NBU’s Rain Barrel Palooza event page. That page also gives the container guidance to review before bringing a barrel.
