Guadalupe River State Park says its phones went down Oct. 25 and asks visitors to email questions.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department posted the change on its park alerts page, giving people planning a visit another way to seek information while the phones are down.

Visitors planning a trip to the Comal County park should use the park's alert page for the email contact option and plan around the continuing burn ban. The alert says wood and charcoal fires are prohibited, while containerized fuel such as propane may be used for cooking.
The phone notice is a new addition to the park alerts: an Oct. 23 preserved version listed the burn ban but did not list the Oct. 25 outage. The park's current alert also asks visitors to conserve water and bring drinking water.
The alert gives no restoration time for phone service. Before setting out, visitors can check the official alerts and closures page for the latest contact guidance, fire restrictions and scheduled park closures.
