Discuss and consider the process for the performance evaluations of the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge.
City of Bulverde
The Aug. 19 agenda lists one regular business item: the evaluation process for three senior city positions.

The evaluation process for Bulverde’s city manager, city attorney and municipal court judge is the sole regular business item on a City Council workshop agenda for Wednesday, Aug. 19.

The posting puts the review process for three senior city positions before the council in a public meeting. It does not list an individual evaluation, performance finding, personnel action or recommendation.

The city’s agenda, posted Aug. 13, says council members will “discuss and consider” the performance-evaluation process. The two-page notice provides no evaluation criteria, schedule, supporting documents or explanation of whether the council is considering a new procedure or changes to an existing one.

The workshop begins at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber at Bulverde City Hall, 30360 Cougar Bend. Residents may comment when the posted item is considered, with presentations limited to three minutes, according to the notice.

Because the agenda describes only a process discussion, it does not establish that the council will evaluate any of the three officials at the meeting or adopt a procedure that night. A meeting record or later city document would be needed to establish any action.
