The report says fiscal 2026 sales-tax collections rose 20.1% from fiscal 2025, while projected current-year commitments total $14.04 million.
The corporation’s projected commitments cover trails, parks, workforce programs, business incentives and public infrastructure in New Braunfels.
The report says June collections were 28.8% higher than a year earlier. Excluding HD Supply revenue, the increase was 11.3%. With all comptroller adjustments removed, the report calculates increases of 29.4% overall and 11.6% without HD Supply.
The report shifts most West Alligator Creek trail spending, the Lefko incentive, the $1.2 million Neue Project and part of Dry Comal Creek floodplain remapping into fiscal 2027. It says the corporation’s commitments commonly span several fiscal years and spending timelines are reassessed regularly.
