New Braunfels residents can weigh in on downtown curb use at a city open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The city says it is developing a Downtown Curb Management Study to better understand and plan for a variety of curbside uses. The two-hour session gives the public a place to share its experience before the city posts any resulting recommendations.
The city calendar lists the open house at the New Braunfels Civic and Convention Center, 375 S. Castell Ave. The notice does not describe proposed rules, identify a preferred plan or provide a deadline for recommendations.
The same calendar lists a Downtown Parking Revenue Advisory Standing Committee meeting for 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at City Hall. That committee advises the Downtown Board on parking-revenue reinvestment; the calendar does not say whether its work and the curb study are connected.
