Mayfair’s Sept. 15 EDC presentation says the 18-acre Fairway Park is now open, 1.5 miles of a 3.5-mile bike loop are complete and more than 1,400 residential lots are under construction or delivered.
For residents north of New Braunfels, the developer says new trail connections from homes and Midtown to schools through greenbelts are planned for fall 2026. The presentation also lists three new parks in design and Mayfair Parkway Phase 1 underway from Guthrie to I-35.
The city’s item report describes Mayfair as an approximately 1,880-acre mixed-use development in Comal County, generally between FM 1101 and FM 1102 and spanning both sides of I-35 north of New Braunfels. It identifies Southstar at Mayfair Developer LLC as the developer and says the project is governed by a city development agreement.
The New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation agenda lists item 26-1068 as a presentation and update on Mayfair community development. The housing, park and construction figures are Mayfair’s account, presented by its director of community relations.
The EDC meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the City Hall Council Chambers at 550 Landa St. Residents can inspect the full presentation for Mayfair’s project claims and the agenda packet for the item’s official status; the meeting record will show what the board discusses next.
