Fair Oaks Ranch says wastewater-pipeline work along Cibolo Creek has restarted and could reach Battle Intense within two to three weeks, when traffic is expected to drop to one lane with flaggers for about a week.
Drivers on Battle Intense should expect a future one-lane work zone, while the city says the broader project could pause in October if needed golf-course easements are not granted. The crossing date is not final, so the traffic restriction is not yet active.
After crossing Battle Intense, crews plan to shift pipeline installation from the Bottom of the Hill Lift Station through the wastewater-treatment-plant site. The city says it is working with Spirit Realty on the golf-course easements and developing a contingency that would redirect crews to other parts of the project if those documents remain unresolved.
The easement issue creates two separate clocks for residents to watch: the approaching road crossing and the city’s October threshold for a possible construction halt. A delay at the golf course would not necessarily stop every segment because the contingency plan could keep crews working elsewhere.
The city says it will publish lane-closure notices after the crossing dates are finalized. Residents can use the WWTP Phase I section of the manager’s memo to check the eventual traffic dates, easement status and any change to the construction sequence.
