Fair Oaks Ranch’s emergency page still lists three flood-related road closures, leaving crossings at Cibolo and Post Oak creeks unavailable on the city’s latest posted status.
The listed closures are Battle Intense at Cibolo Creek, the Silver Spur bridge at Post Oak Creek and the low-water crossing in the 7800 block of Rolling Acres Trail. Drivers who normally use those locations should plan another route until the city removes them from its closure list.
The strongest limitation is the age of the notice: although the page was retrieved Aug. 13 and labels the entries as current, the visible update is stamped 1 p.m. July 16. Comal.News found no newer status for the three crossings in this evidence record.
Flood Recovery Remains on the City’s Status Page
The July 16 notice says Fair Oaks Ranch was moving from emergency response into damage assessment and recovery. The city reported debris accumulation, damaged guardrails, damaged street signs, damaged flood-warning infrastructure and localized roadway damage while public works inspected low-water crossings and other infrastructure.
The notice does not distinguish between closures caused by damage and closures kept in place while inspections or repairs continue. It also gives no detour routes, leaving the posted closure list as the record’s only route-level guidance.
The city also reported that all utilities remained operational but wastewater operations were degraded. One irrigation pump-station pump had been restored, another required off-site repairs and the wastewater treatment plant was receiving elevated flows from storm runoff, according to the notice.
Police, fire and emergency medical services were described as fully operational in the city update. Administration, communications and other city operations were also listed as fully operational.
Residents may report nonemergency concerns such as damaged roads, downed trees, drainage problems and water issues to City Hall. The city asks callers to provide a location, a short description and photographs when available. An immediate threat to life, health or property should be reported to 911.
The city page gives no repair cost, reopening schedule or explanation for why the visible emergency status has not been refreshed since July 16. Until a newer official notice is posted, the three crossings should be treated as closed.
