Item 9: Approved a prequalification pool of 19 firms, out of 78 responses, for professional engineering services under RFQ 2026-530.

County residents can now track four approved pools for engineering, architecture, geotechnical and surveying services. A prequalification pool identifies firms eligible for later selection; the four recorded approvals should be read as pool decisions, with any particular project agreement checked in its own record.

The four approvals

Commissioners approved the architecture pool under RFQ 2026-540 as a separate action. Item 10: Approved a prequalification pool of seven firms, out of 42 responses, for professional architectural services under RFQ 2026-540.

The geotechnical decision was another separate approval. Item 11: Approved a prequalification pool of six firms, out of 16 responses, for professional geotechnical services under RFQ 2026-550.

The fourth approval concerns surveying. Item 12: Approved a pre-qualification pool of eight firms for professional surveying services under RFQ 2026-560.

The cited surveying outcome establishes an eight-firm pool but gives no response count.

What follows

These are four named procurement pools, rather than four named construction projects. Residents checking how a future project proceeds can use the county's recorded Oct. 29 decisions to identify the relevant RFQ, then look for a later project-specific agreement or task order. The next useful record is the first such agreement that names a firm, scope and price.
