Families and employees will get one public workshop Thursday on four Comal ISD systems: bilingual and ESL services, advanced academics, self-funded insurance coverage and A-F ratings.
The workshop puts student language services, advanced academics, employee health coverage and campus accountability before trustees in one public meeting. The session begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10.
The agenda groups all four subjects as informational reports rather than action items. The public posting names the subjects but supplies no presentation slides, program figures, insurance costs or rating tables. Its separate public notice also confirms the workshop date and time.
Public comment comes near the start of the meeting. Because this is a special meeting, the agenda says comments are limited to posted subjects. Residents considering whether to speak can inspect the public-comment attachment before the workshop; presentations or subsequent agenda records will show whether any discussion leads to a proposed change.
The A-F item follows Comal.News’ earlier coverage of the district’s 2026 accountability score. Thursday’s posting establishes that trustees will review the ratings, while the substance of that review remains to be documented.
