Four posted agendas schedule meetings this week for Spring Branch, Bulverde, Schertz and Comal ISD. The most direct potential changes for residents are Bulverde’s proposed street-speed limits and Schertz’s proposed water-main and fee measures.

Each remains scheduled business, with outcomes to be established by later meeting records.

Monday: Spring Branch City Commission

The Spring Branch City Commission is scheduled to meet Monday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station #6, 9850 FM 311. Its posted agenda lists September minutes, a financial report and a proposed Night Sky Month proclamation, along with public comment. Readers can check the Spring Branch meeting notice for the agenda and participation details.

Tuesday: Bulverde City Council

The Bulverde City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 30360 Cougar Bend. The city-street general speed limit is now 35 mph in the proposal’s comparison. Council is scheduled to consider lowering that general limit to 30 mph and setting a 25 mph limit on Edgebrook streets. Bulverde drivers could face lower city-street speed limits if the proposed changes are adopted.

The Bulverde agenda also lists proposed park-use permits for a Nov. 26 Turkey Trot and a Dec. 5 Holiday Hunger Run, plus a proposal concerning council committee scope. Public comments are listed both with items and afterward. The posted Bulverde agenda gives readers the proposals and meeting details.

Tuesday: Schertz City Council

The Schertz City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4. Its consent agenda includes a proposed RL Jones water-main replacement along IH-10 from Graytown to Pfeil Road, as well as shade-structure, sewer-study and management agreements. A consent listing describes proposed business; it does not establish that any contract has been approved.

Schertz also lists a proposed ordinance concerning licenses, permits and service fees, a proposed drone-first-responder pilot, an automobile-repair permit hearing near FM 3009 and Borgfeld Road, a streets update and a water-rights workshop. The Schertz council agenda is the route to the listed business and meeting details.

Thursday: Comal ISD board workshop

The Comal ISD board workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The posted workshop agenda lists demographic, five-year counseling and transportation reports, followed by board team building. Families interested in transportation can use the Comal ISD workshop agenda to check the scheduled report and current meeting information before attending.

What to check next
