Comal County commissioners are scheduled to decide Oct. 1 whether to approve Flying W Unit 2’s 61-lot final plat, accept a $1,859,735.25 road-and-drainage bond and grant two dimensional variances.
The proposed Flying W Unit 2 plat maps 61 lots across 19.08 acres, plus 3,542 feet of public road right of way and 129 feet along FM 1102.
The proposal would accept the bond as surety for road and storm-water drainage work. The two variance requests would allow right-of-way widths below the county’s 60-foot minimum and road-frontage setbacks below its 25-foot minimum.
Owner Pulte Homes of Texas is listed for the plat, which places the site near FM 1102 and West Watson Lane. Plat notes say the subdivision would use a state-certified public water system and public wastewater treatment facilities.
The Oct. 1 meeting agenda sets an 8:30 a.m. start in the Commissioners Courtroom at 100 Main Plaza in New Braunfels and allows three minutes per person for citizen comments. After the meeting, the recorded vote or minutes will establish whether the court approved, amended, deferred or rejected the plat and variance requests.
