Gov. Greg Abbott announced Oct. 8 that businesses can select same-day or next-day Texas Express processing when submitting filings online to the Texas Secretary of State. The statewide launch gives local companies another way to handle time-sensitive state paperwork, according to the governor’s announcement.

Comal County businesses filing state documents can use the online service, including its expedited processing options. The announcement says customers can file business documents online, including mergers and conversions, save drafts, check submission status and retrieve completed filings.

The announcement describes same-day and next-day filing options but does not state their fees or spell out a guaranteed processing deadline. Those details matter to anyone weighing the cost of an expedited filing against a regular submission. The announcement also makes no claim that a Comal County business has used the new service.

Businesses considering a filing can use the filing-information route linked from the state’s launch announcement to inspect the available options before submitting documents. The next useful verification point is the Secretary of State’s posted fee and processing information for the particular filing a business needs.
