A three-session help series starts at Westside Library on Aug. 24, with beginner computer classes that day and Aug. 31 plus drop-in small-business assistance Aug. 28.
Residents can use library-provided laptops and equipment during the computer classes and seek small-business assistance during the four-hour drop-in window.
The first Hobby Haus: Basic Computer Skills class starts Aug. 24 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Westside Branch Library meeting room. The city describes it as a beginner-friendly class intended to build confidence using a computer.
A second one-hour computer class starts at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31, giving residents another scheduled chance to attend the introductory program with equipment supplied by the library.
Between the two classes, Small Business Drop-In Support runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28. The calendar directs prospective entrepreneurs and existing small-business owners to the session for assistance from a Spark Small Business Center representative.
The city says the representative is available every other Friday during that four-hour window. The Aug. 28 event is therefore structured as drop-in help rather than a one-hour class.
All three sessions are scheduled at Westside Library Branch, 2910 Interstate 35 Frontage Road in New Braunfels. The calendar places the computer classes in the branch meeting room and identifies the library as the location for business assistance.
The next event in the series starts at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 24. Registration requirements and class capacity are the practical details to confirm before then.
