The filing gives nearby residents a 48,484-square-foot project scope and projected construction window for the I-35 site. It lists Sept. 1, 2026, as the projected start and July 1, 2027, as the projected completion date.
The state record identifies the work as privately funded new construction on private land and names AMERCO Real Estate Company as the owner. The project details add cost and scale to an earlier Comal.News report about the city filing at the same address.
The registration also describes a later state accessibility checkpoint. The TDLR page says the building owner must obtain an inspection from a registered accessibility specialist no later than the first anniversary of construction completion. It also says the owner must submit a written inspection request within 30 calendar days after completion.
The TDLR page lists the current status as “Project Registered.” Residents can use project number TABS2026026224 on the state project page to check its accessibility-review record; city permit approvals and later inspection records will establish the next stages.
