Spark Small Business Center says its Westside Community Center advising service has met with more than 92 clients since June 2025 and is now a permanent appointment offered every two weeks.
The center describes the arrangement in its quarterly presentation prepared for the New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation’s Oct. 15 meeting.
New Braunfels entrepreneurs can seek business advising at the Westside Community Center through Spark’s continuing appointment service. Spark says the location is intended to reduce transportation barriers for entrepreneurs seeking its help. The client figure measures advising contacts reported by Spark; it does not establish how many businesses opened or how many jobs resulted from those Westside appointments.
Across its wider program, Spark reports 50 business plans created and 23 business starts or expansions in its 2025–26 yearly summary. Those are Spark’s reported program measures, not independently established economic effects. The presentation does not connect those yearly totals specifically to the Westside clients.
The next useful check is whether a later Spark report separates Westside advising contacts from documented business outcomes. Residents can inspect the Westside service description and the centerwide yearly figures in the presentation; the Oct. 15 meeting has yet to occur, so the document establishes what Spark plans to present, not what the corporation decided.
