NBU shows Stage 2 water conservation status

NBU customers now have a Stage 2 conservation status to check before watering, though the available alert does not establish when it took effect.

A coiled garden hose lies beside a blue pool edged with pale stone, trees, shrubs, and a small waterfall.

New Braunfels Utilities showed Stage 2 as its water conservation status when the official status badge was checked late Oct. 18. The preserved utility alert records that status at 11:09 p.m. Central; it does not give a date when Stage 2 began.

NBU customers can use the utility's conservation-stage page to check the watering rules that apply to their service. The alert points to that page for the rules, but its preserved text contains only the stage designation, so this report cannot specify permitted watering days or hours from the available alert.

The preserved NBU status alert showed Stage 2 when checked Oct. 18 at 11:09 p.m. Central.

The practical step for a customer planning outdoor watering is to check NBU's current stage and its posted instructions before setting a sprinkler schedule. The alert establishes a snapshot of the utility's status, not a newly announced change or an effective date. It also describes NBU's conservation status, which should not be confused with a separate Edwards Aquifer authority designation.

For the next verification point, inspect NBU's conservation-stage page for the applicable schedule and any later status notice. A fuller update requires the page's posted rules or another preserved NBU notice stating when the current stage took effect.
