Guadalupe River State Park will close from 8 p.m. Nov. 20 to noon Nov. 24, 2026, with only permitted hunters allowed to enter during that period. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department lists those dates in its current park alert.
Visitors planning a trip to the park during the November closure will need to choose another time unless they are permitted hunters. The alert also lists a closure from 8 p.m. Jan. 11 to noon Jan. 15, again allowing only permitted hunters to enter. It does not state a year beside the January dates.

A separate water alert asks visitors to conserve water and bring drinking water for their visit. It does not say that drinking water is prohibited. Before setting out, visitors can check the park’s official alerts and closures page for the latest access dates and water guidance, or contact the park for more information as the alert advises.
