Comal County Emergency Services District No. 7 reported $927,970.79 in estimated remaining costs for its LCRA emergency-radio project at its Sept. 24 meeting.

The newly posted minutes put the amount already paid at $1,559,889.21 and describe the project as close to completion, with power setup still pending.

From the source record

ESD 7’s reported emergency-radio project funding and costs as of its Sept. 24, 2026, meeting. The funded total is shown alongside its paid and estimated remaining portions.

Power setup remains before the emergency-radio project is complete for ESD 7 residents. The minutes do not establish a completion date; the next project report is the place to check whether the connection work is finished.

What the project figures show

The district lists $2,487,860 in funding for the LCRA emergency-radio project. Its $1,559,889.21 paid figure and $927,970.79 estimated remaining cost describe the use of that funding; the remaining figure is an estimate, not a new authorization made at the September meeting.

The treasurer report also lists a $940,110 remaining obligated balance and says a Sept. 10 payment of $203,826 will appear in the next report. That obligated balance and the estimated remaining project cost are separately labeled measures in the minutes. Readers should use the next report to see how the payment and any fiscal-year rollover are recorded.

Treasurer report and sales tax

At its Sept. 24 meeting, the ESD 7 board approved the treasurer report and payment of bills 4-0. That action approved the financial report and bills; the minutes do not describe it as a fresh vote to authorize the radio project.

The minutes say tax-allocation agreements had been sent to ZacTax and limited-purpose annexations were on file with the Texas Comptroller. They also say some sales-tax revenue was still not being distributed as expected. A later allocation record could show whether those distributions changed.

Citizen comments

The Sept. 24 minutes record no citizen comments. The posted record therefore supplies no resident testimony or board response to summarize for this meeting.

What to watch next

The next ESD 7 treasurer report can show the Sept. 10 payment and any fiscal-year rollover. A subsequent project update can establish when power setup is finished, while a Comptroller allocation reconciliation can clarify the sales-tax distribution issue. Readers can compare those records with the district’s Sept. 24 minutes, which were posted under an Oct. 22 file name.
