Comal County issued Crystal Clear Special Utility District a pavement-cut permit Oct. 8 for a utility crossing on S. Old Bastrop Road.

The authorization allows a pavement cut on a road used by local drivers. The county lists permit 107601 as “PTC Issued,” and the permit runs for one year from its issuance date. Drivers can find the county permit search by entering 107601.

What the permit covers

The district's application describes 38 feet of 1.5-inch HDPE utility pipe for the crossing. It places the center of the proposed cut at 29.79102° N, 98.02173° W. The location and pipe description appear in the application attached to the issued permit. Residents can read that application and the county's authorization in the permit PDF.

What to check next

The permit directs the district to report completion to the county engineer for final inspection. That report and any county road notice are the next records to check for the crossing's progress and its effect on drivers. The issued document records authorization for work in the road right of way; it does not itself give a construction start date or a road-closure schedule. Readers tracking the project can use permit number 107601 to check for a later inspection record.
