TCEQ records mark September 2026 registration renewals approved for Hunter Stone, Applewhite Cattle’s North San Antonio Crushing Plant and Colorado Materials’ Hunter Plant. The three entries concern separate aggregate production operations and carry different approval and expiration dates.

Residents can now check the approved renewal status and listed disturbed acreage for each operation in the state’s public register. The acreage figures are the records’ disturbed-acreage fields; they should not be read as a tally of stone extracted during September.

The three renewals

Hunter Stone, operated by Martin Marietta Materials Southwest LLC at 7781 FM 1102 in New Braunfels, lists 101 disturbed acres. Its renewal was submitted Aug. 26 and marked approved Sept. 4, 2026, according to the Hunter Stone registration, AP0002415.

Applewhite Cattle Co LLC’s North San Antonio Crushing Plant lists 50 disturbed acres. Its renewal was submitted and marked approved Sept. 16, 2026. The Applewhite Cattle registration, AP0004014, gives access directions using Interstate 35 and the Old Evans and Evans roads rather than a street address.

Colorado Materials Ltd’s Hunter Plant at 5080 FM 2439 in New Braunfels lists 760 disturbed acres. Its renewal was submitted Sept. 24 and marked approved Sept. 29, 2026, in the Colorado Materials registration, AP0001938.

What the registration dates mean

All three entries identify limestone and mark the operations active. Their recorded action is renewal of an aggregate production operation registration. The listed acreage describes a field in each registration; the approval dates should not be interpreted as dates when excavation began or expanded.

The listed expiration dates are Aug. 28, 2027, for Hunter Stone; Oct. 16, 2027, for Applewhite Cattle’s plant; and Oct. 14, 2027, for Colorado Materials’ Hunter Plant. Readers can use each registration number in the TCEQ public register to check a later status update. The next records to compare are preceding registration entries and individual application or inspection documents, which could clarify whether the listed acreage changed.
