The deadline for the early-voting clerk to receive a ballot-by-mail application for the Nov. 3 election is Friday, Oct. 23. The Texas Secretary of State’s election calendar says the application must be received by then, rather than merely postmarked by that date.
Comal County residents seeking to vote by mail must get their applications received by that date; a postmark alone does not satisfy the application deadline. That is an application deadline, separate from Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The state calendar also lists in-person early voting from Oct. 19 through Oct. 30.
Comal County Elections lists ballot-by-mail applications in English and Spanish on its elections page. The office is at 396 N. Seguin Ave. in New Braunfels, and its listed phone number is 830-221-1352. Voters can use the county page to find the application and contact the office about submitting it and whether they qualify to vote by mail.
The next date to watch is Oct. 23: check the state’s deadline table for the receipt rule and the county elections page for the application and office contact before sending a form.
