Comal ISD published the outage notice Aug. 17, 2026.

Comal ISD says a technical problem has made Skyward Family Access unavailable and that families will receive updates as information becomes available.

Comal ISD families cannot use Skyward Family Access while the outage continues.

The interruption affects a named family-facing district service rather than an announced maintenance window. Comal ISD published its notice Aug. 17 and described the platform as down because of a technical problem.

The district said it hopes the problem will be resolved soon, but the notice does not give families an estimated restoration time. It also does not identify when access was lost or describe the technical cause beyond that general label.

Families therefore have one confirmed status to work from: Family Access remains unavailable in the district’s current notice. A later posting that restores access, supplies a timeline or identifies additional affected systems would materially change that status.

The next useful update should answer two practical questions: when families can log in again and whether the technical problem reaches any other family-facing district service. Until then, the notice supports an outage report but not a cause or recovery forecast.
