Comal ISD has scheduled its Dyslexia Awareness and Family Game Night for 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Smithson Valley High School’s Performing Arts Center in Spring Branch. The school is at 14001 Highway 46, according to the district’s event notice.
Families of students identified with dyslexia, families with questions and anyone who wants to learn more are invited to attend. Children may come with their parents, and the district says activities will be available for them. The invitation gives families a chance to ask about support directly, whether they already know the district’s program or are just beginning to explore it.
District dyslexia teachers will explain the multisensory teaching approach used for students identified with dyslexia. The evening will also have interactive games and information booths where attendees can gather material and ask questions. Comal ISD says it will announce the winners of its Kids with heART district art contest and display the submitted art.
The next step for families is the Thursday event. The district’s posted notice provides the address and program details to check before making the trip.
