Comal ISD trustees are scheduled to consider accepting construction closeouts for System Packages 1, 3A and 2 on Oct. 22. Acceptance is the step the district says must precede final payment; the proposal is listed as item 6.G on the consent agenda.
The proposed acceptance covers HVAC, roof, wastewater, lighting, ceiling and bleacher work listed at 15 Comal ISD campuses. The district says its design and engineering teams and internal team have reviewed the projects and received closeout materials.
Packages 1 and 3A list wastewater upgrades at SBMS and SVMS; roof work at SVMS, CDC, MECHS, CSES, FES, OCES and MVMS; and HVAC work at GFES, MECHS, CSES, FES, OCES, CHMS and MVMS. The MVMS scope also lists a football-field bleacher expansion. Package 2 lists HVAC work at ASES, JRES, RBES, STZES and TPES, with LED lighting upgrades at ASES.
Trustees have not yet acted on the proposed closeouts. The Oct. 22 meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Residents can inspect the campus-by-campus scope in the agenda’s project-closeout description, then check the board’s outcome record for whether all three packages were accepted and what final payments follow.
