Comal ISD trustees are scheduled to hear demographic, counseling, transportation and board team-building reports at an Oct. 15 workshop.

The four presentations offer residents a way to follow the district’s planning and services, but the posted titles establish the subjects of the reports rather than their findings. The official BoardBook agenda lists the sequence and presenters.

The Comal ISD Board of Trustees workshop is scheduled for Oct. 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The workshop agenda groups four presentations under Superintendent Reports and Board Information. Those reports follow public comment and the board president’s comments in the posted order. The agenda begins with a call to order and ends with adjournment.

Growth and student services

The first listed presentation is a Demographic Report by Hudson Huff of Zonda Home. It is the workshop’s direct opportunity for trustees to hear a demographic update. For families tracking enrollment and school capacity, the useful questions will be what projections the presentation gives, which areas they cover and what planning steps trustees identify afterward. The agenda title alone supplies none of those figures or decisions; the report itself will be the record to inspect. The Demographic Report is listed as an information presentation.

A Counseling 5-Year Update follows, with Tammy Pinkham and Dr. Kelley listed as presenters. Families seeking to understand student support should watch for the update’s stated service measures and any future steps identified at the workshop. The posted agenda identifies a five-year update as the subject; it does not establish a change in staffing or counseling access. The Counseling 5-Year Update is listed as an information presentation.

Transportation and board work

Jessica Fischer is listed to present the Transportation Report. For students and families who depend on bus service, the report is the place to look for any stated information about routes, schedules or operations. The title itself does not specify a route change or a service decision. Trustees are also scheduled to hear Board Team Building from Courtney Biasatti after the transportation presentation. Board Team Building is listed as an information presentation.

How residents can participate

Residents who wish to speak at the workshop are limited to the posted agenda items. Public Comment/Audience Participation appears near the start of the meeting, before the board president’s comments and the reports. Someone planning remarks can use the named report topics to keep a question or concern tied to posted business. The agenda’s public-comment entry is the primary record for that limit and the order of proceedings.

The Oct. 15 workshop is the next listed venue for trustees to hear these four updates. Readers following a particular issue can inspect the official BoardBook agenda for the presentation order, then compare the eventual report materials or meeting record with the questions raised here. Any later board direction or decision needs its own meeting record; these agenda entries describe scheduled presentations.
