Comal County Elections
Commissioners are scheduled to consider the vote-center list on Aug. 20.

Comal County has proposed 26 vote centers for the Nov. 3 election, giving eligible voters a choice of Election Day locations across New Braunfels, Bulverde, Canyon Lake, Garden Ridge, Spring Branch and the Boerne area.

A proposed county list provides 26 Election Day vote centers for Nov. 3, open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., where any eligible Comal County voter could cast a ballot.

The proposed vote-center system would let eligible Comal County voters use any of the 26 listed Election Day locations instead of being limited to their registered precinct.

The list includes the Comal County Senior Citizens Center, Mammen Family Public Library, Tye Preston Memorial Library, Garden Ridge City Hall, Westside Public Library and the Comal County Bulverde Annex. The county document supplies a facility name and street address for every proposed location, allowing voters to compare options before Election Day.

Commissioners are scheduled to consider the Election Day list at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. The same agenda also calls for action on one main and five temporary early-voting locations, polling-place staffing, election judges and a central counting station. The recorded vote and final election notice will determine which locations residents can rely on.
