Comal County commissioners are scheduled to hold a public hearing Thursday on a possible election for Johnson Way improvements and assessments.

School board agendas also list a proposed bond authorization in New Braunfels ISD and a construction price for Comal ISD’s Elementary School 21. The entries below are scheduled business, not decisions already made.

Monday, Oct. 19: New Braunfels ISD

The NBISD board is scheduled to meet Monday at 6 p.m. for a regular meeting with a public hearing on its 2025–26 FIRST financial accountability rating. Trustees are also scheduled to consider school building and refunding bond authorization and an ad valorem tax levy. The posted agenda lists targeted support at Voss Farms and Memorial elementary schools, a school resource officer agreement, a facility condition report and a class-size waiver. Families and taxpayers can inspect the proposed business in the district’s posted agenda before the meeting.

Thursday, Oct. 22: Commissioners Court

Commissioners Court is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the Commissioners Courtroom at 100 Main Plaza. Its Johnson Way hearing concerns possible improvements and assessments. The agenda also lists a proposed outdoor-burning order and a proposed $88,040.54 change order for a mental-health facility, with ARPA principal identified as the funding source. Plat and bond matters, preparedness grants, a memorandum of understanding, backup arrangements and line-item transfers are also listed for court business.

Residents affected by Johnson Way have a public hearing before commissioners decide whether to advance the proposed improvements and assessments. The county agenda provides the hearing and other proposed items for readers who want to track the court’s next recorded actions.

Thursday, Oct. 22: Comal ISD

Comal ISD trustees are scheduled to meet Thursday at 7 p.m. The board agenda lists guaranteed maximum price 1 for Elementary School 21, a proposed 50-foot permanent pipeline easement on district land in Bexar County, construction closeouts and a proposed name for Life Bridges East. Trustees are also scheduled to receive the 2025–26 annual financial report and a first reading of CFB local policy. The agenda identifies matters for board consideration; it does not establish an approved construction price or easement.

Thursday, Oct. 22: Joint Schertz–Cibolo discussion

A posted item for a joint Schertz–Cibolo councils meeting calls for a briefing on the cities’ water portfolios and projected needs. The item describes a briefing rather than a recorded decision. Readers can inspect the water briefing item and check the councils’ subsequent records for any public direction or action.

The next verification point is each body’s posted outcome record after its meeting, particularly the Johnson Way hearing, the NBISD bond proposal and Comal ISD’s Elementary School 21 price. The linked official agendas show what was scheduled; any resulting action needs its own record.
