The Comal Appraisal District says it is accepting applications for the Appraisal Review Board’s 2027–28 term.

Comal County residents can now find the 2027–28 Appraisal Review Board application notice through the district’s official property-tax information site.

The opening creates a public-service opportunity connected directly to the local property-appraisal system. The district places the notice beside its Appraisal Review Board section, property search, taxpayer portal, protest information, exemption resources and electronic-communication request.

The district describes its mission as valuing property and administering exemptions within its jurisdiction under the Texas Property Tax Code and professional appraisal standards. It says the website is updated each business day to provide current, usable information about the district and specific properties.

The same homepage directs residents to open-records requests, taxpayer surveys, Truth in Taxation information and the Comal County Tax Office. The district also states that tax payments go to the appropriate tax office, defining a separate role from the appraisal work connected to the review board.

Prospective applicants should use the district’s Appraisal Review Board materials to confirm eligibility, the selection process, term responsibilities and the submission date. An application deadline, appointment announcement or board roster will provide the next measurable update for the 2027–28 term.
